OVERVIEW

What You’ll Learn

This qualification reflects the role of a person installing, maintaining and repairing flashings, metal roof and wall claddings, rainwater products such as gutters and downpipes, and other accessories on residential, industrial and commercial buildings.

Roof plumbing is a licensed occupation in Australia, and this qualification forms the foundation for trade licensing across states and territories. All training is delivered in a real or closely simulated workplace environment, as required by the plumbing industry.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years

  • Year 10 completion or equivalent

  • IELTS 6.0 overall (or equivalent)

  • LLN assessment prior to enrolment

  • White Card (CPCCWHS1001) required before site work

  • Students should confirm state licensing requirements prior to enrolment

  • Application for roof plumbing trade licence (state/territory dependent)

  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction (CPC40120)

Elective Units
